
POST-ITCUP ROBOTICS ACTIVITY
REGISTRATION DETAILS
Registration period: April 26, 2023 (Wednesday) to May 25, 2023 (Thursday)
Deadline of presentation: June 30, 2023 (Friday)
Notes:
- Once you have registered, your school will receive a confirmation email and a color maze (tarpaulin), 3-5 working days from the date of registration.
- Upon receiving the color maze, the robotics activity through Google Meet can be scheduled until June 30, 2023 (Friday).
GENERAL GUIDELINES
- The coaches must accomplish the online registration form to confirm their participation in the event.
- Upon submitting their registration, the schools will receive the following:
- confirmation email
- color maze tarpaulin
- The participants must prepare the following for the scheduled presentation:
- fast and stable internet connection
- two (2) sets of wide-angle HD camera with at least 1080p resolution:
- one (1) facing the color maze (please see sample video on the itcup.ph website)
- one (1) facing the participants
- speaker
- one (1) laptop (for programming the robot)
- one (1) desktop/laptop computer (for the Google Meet)
- built-in microphone or external microphone
- color maze (City of aMaze)
- two (2) Robotics Kit
- AA batteries
- charger
Note:
- The participants are advised not to bring any other materials not listed or in excess of the items listed above.
MECHANICS
- The participants must choose one (1) among the four (4) line paths, which they need to complete throughout the activity.
- Each team will be given only fifteen (15) minutes to complete their selected line path.
- If the robot encounters certain conditions, the participants will be given two (2) attempts to save their robot. The conditions include but are not limited to:
- Alignment failure
- Parts detached
- Robot stopped
- Program error/recalibration
- Reached the borderline
Notes:
- Each action taken to save the robot will be considered as one (1) attempt regardless of the action made. However, the timer will still continue and the robot must be placed back to where it was previously saved to continue the race.
- In case the robot reaches the borderline, the participant may place the robot not more than 10 blocks behind the path it has already traversed.
4. The team that successfully completes the challenge will receive a cash prize and certificates of participation.
Note:
- If any issues arise that are not mentioned in these guidelines, the decision of the TechnoKids representative attesting to the result will be followed.
